Shot The Golden Dogs for Chart on Friday night, they were great, and Chart used one of my photos for the photo of the week. I'd rather them have used this one...
So i'm starting to blog over at www.johnpapa.ca/blog It's a communication blog for school, but i'm also putting a music spin on the stuff I write. Eventually I may migrate this one over too, but it's a bit too hard, so for now i'm gonna keep this one running too. Here is a picture I took today in Kensington Market. It was the kickoff of Car Free Sundays, which are gonna be going on all summer.
Good work to my buddy Saul Williams, whose song 'List of Demands' is being used in the new Nike training campaign. It originally appeared on his brilliant Self titled 2004 release.
Crowded House covered 'Throw Your Arms Around Me' by Hunters and Collectors (one of my favourite songs ever). They played a few Split Endz songs and closed with 'Better Be Home Soon'
If I could pay another $80 and go again tomorrow, I would.
There may be pics soon, my sister brought her camera, and we got some mediocre shots.
I'm so glad it's over. I think it was a success, everyone seemed to have a good time, and I think we'll come out on top if I can unload all this extra beer I have. Here are some pics...
I wanted to blog about this last weekend, but I was still recovering from CMW. This backlog of streetcars at Queen and Beaconsfield was caused by excessive amounts of snow, as well as people parking their cars partially in the streetcar lanes. Way to go. I had to walk from the Drake to the Horseshoe in the snow because of it.
More craziness on Queen St. West later on in the night. About 4am trying to find a way home. No transit, and cabs would refuse to pick you up unless you were going to Brampton.
This is the teaser postcard I made for my Event Management class. It's our group's actual event. Y'all should come. Saturday April 5, 2008. Hang Man Gallery 7-10 p.m.
I walked by the post fire clean-up on Saturday. Abe's antiques is still standing, but I can't say for water and smoke damage. Here is a picture of some people watching the clean-up. It's hard to tell who were gawkers (like me, truthfully) or who actually had a stake in those buildings.
